About Akasha
Akasha was built on a simple premise: the body's systems are connected, and care should treat them that way — whether the starting point is a Digestive issue, a nerve symptom, or a Sports Injury.
Meet the practitioner
Akasha is founder-led today, with room to grow — here's who's behind the care right now.
Krishna
Subramanian Krishnamurthy
Founder & Clinical Director
Krishna leads Akasha as its founding practitioner, with several years of clinical experience in corporate hospital settings, alongside international registration and clinical experience in both India and Canada. His clinical training has continued to expand over the years, including further education in manual therapy and manipulation, dry needling, and musculoskeletal ultrasonography for assessment and rehabilitation.
Wanting to look beyond isolated symptoms toward root causes, he went on to complete a postgraduate program in Functional Medicine, followed by a postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine through the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (FSEM), UK — bringing a movement-based and root-cause perspective together in one practice.
In consultations, he places particular emphasis on thorough history-taking and assessment, taking the time to understand the full picture before recommending a plan.

How we practice
Root-cause first
We ask why a symptom is happening, not just how to mute it.
Evidence-informed
Recommendations are grounded in your history, labs, and assessment — not templated protocols.
Clear boundaries
We're transparent about what virtual care can and can't do, and where we can legally practice.
Licensing & jurisdiction
Physiotherapy services are provided under Indian registration and are offered exclusively to patients physically located in India at the time of care, in line with telehealth licensing regulations. Functional Medicine consultations are offered internationally as an educational and consultative service.
